Telling Your Story

Telling Your Story

As a business owner, you have a story to tell the world about who you are and what you believe in. The majority of businesses start with someone’s passion and/or dream. Think about “why” you started your business. For many of us, we wanted to make a difference, saw a need that we could fill or had a deep desire to shift things in the world. Where did your story begin?

Women - Reclaiming Our Authentic Selves

Reclaiming Our Authentic Selves

We are the work horses of our society.  We are the nurturers, the caregivers, the mama bears and the revolutionaries.  We hold each other up, when others try to hold us down.  We are the beginning of life just as we are often there at the end of life.  We are the keepers of light and the protectors from darkness.

Letting Go - A Special Message from One Feather

Letting Go

Channeled by Alisa Loper, Spiritual Medium

When people tell you to ‘let go’ or ‘let go and let God’…this is simply what that means:

  • Hold in your heart that you wish what is best– highest and best – for yourself and all others…for all of life.
  • Then go about your day trusting that all is well and all is indeed unfolding without your control.

You do not have to do anything. You simply go about your day with a smile in your heart, a smile in your mind, and a smile (or at least no smirk) on your face. Stop thinking about what you want, what you desperately hope to happen, what you’re trying so hard to control…stop obsessing in your mind about it all.

The Awe of Awesome

Awe of Awesome

I am inspired to talk about Awe, the feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder. Perhaps it hits you when feel you are in the presence of something vast that transcends your understanding of the world around you. When you think that everything has an explanation or have been become skeptical of the world around you, it becomes easy to overlook the beauty and miracles. The hardened scientist may not feel the need for Awe, the awesome, the aw-ful.  However, there are real benefits to feeling awe, not only emotionally, but physically. Take the moment of reverence and lean in.

We need not trek into the mountains or do anything on a grand scale for we can find moments of awe around us. The trick is to recognize the feeling of awe and when we need a dose of it.

Protecting Your Space

Protecting Your Space

After you have cleanse and bless your space, you can set up some elements of protection for your space. Everyone should be protecting their personal space at home and at work. In my article, Clearing Your Space, we discussed how negative energies can enter your space. When anyone experiences negative emotions like disappointment, frustration or anger, these emotions become part of the energies in your space. Sometimes the energies of the space can be directly affected by the jobs that we hold. For example: If you are a prison guard at the local jailhouse, the emotional and mental states of the prisoners can have a direct impact on your emotional state and the energies could be released within the sanctuary of your home or office.

The Power of Meditation

Power of Meditation

If you have ever had a session with me, than I have most likely recommended for you to start a meditation practice.  I, honestly, believe that fear and judgment are two of our worst enemies and that our mind produces these illusions to prevent us from being who we truly are. The power of presence, the power of calming the egoic mind, is so beneficial that if folks could get to a point where they can observe and differentiate what is real and what is illusion, they could master themselves.

What is Your Definition of Magic?

Defintion of Magic

What is your definition of magic? My definition of magic originates from the Disney movies that I watched as a young girl. The wicked witch would cast spells on the princess and/or the village. The religious belief systems that I had as a young woman and adult also brought in many fears around the word magic. When I would hear the word, I would feel myself step back and there was some real hesitation in participating in the conversation and really connecting to the idea of magic. I do not believe in magic from the perspective of causing harm to others or trying to control situations and/or people.
